Daniel Matthew Gaul • Deacon

Daniel Matthew Gaul accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior in 1992. He grew up in a Christian home, attended college at Azusa Pacific University, and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Biblical Studies. He has partaken in various roles in the local church since then and was called as a deacon at Resilient Life Church in 2019.

One of his life verses is Proverbs 30:7-9: “Two things I request of You (deprive me not before I die): remove falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches—feed me with the food allotted to me; lest I be full and deny You, and say, ‘Who is the LORD?’ or lest I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God.”

In his spare time, Daniel likes to read, listen to music, collect books/movies/TV shows, record voiceovers, write on his personal blog, and spend time with his family.

As part of his role as deacon, Daniel writes for the church blog. Feel free to drop by and check it out!

Sal Pascual • Deacon

Sal Pascual came to know our Lord Jesus Christ in 2004 through the witness of his wife, Cherry. Although he hasn’t seen God, through reading the Bible he feels God’s holy presence in his life and enjoys this intimate relationship. Sal began serving in a small ministry in the Philippines and later became involved in a men’s Bible study here in Milpitas. He was called as a deacon at Resilient Life Church in 2020.

Sal and his wife, Cherry, have been married since October 2005.

Sal’s favorite passage is Psalm 1:1-4, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.”

In his spare time, Sal enjoys outdoor activities, hanging out with friends and family, and is always looking for an open door to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
