At this time of year, we celebrate the holiday of Thanksgiving (usually with a meal of turkey, vegetables, potatoes, etc.) and name different things that we are thankful for. That being the case, let us not forget to turn our eyes heavenward and be thankful for (and to) the One who gives us everything we need for this life and eternity.

1 Chronicles 16:34: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever."

Psalm 107:8-9: "Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."

2 Corinthians 9:10: "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness."

1 Timothy 4:4-5: "For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer."
