  • In large part, many began to revolt against Paul’s teaching because they refused to give up their way of life. They enjoyed their false religion and the lifestyle that came with it. Ultimately their backbiting against the ways of God revealed their hard hearts. Have you ever experienced this same kind of opposition towards God in your own life? What did it take to change your perspective about the ways of the Lord? Explain.

We learned from the sons of Sceva that not having a relationship with Jesus Christ proves very dangerous. Not only will you not be able to enter into eternity at peace with Him, but also here on earth you will have no protection against unclean spirits. Since you have been saved, have you experienced victory against unclean spirits, and strongholds being broken in your life? Explain.

The fear of the Lord is a beautiful thing. It’s a blessing to become aware of His greatness and not have your heart darkened to the truth. Fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. How has the fear of the Lord affected your life? Explain.
